Britcar Endurance Championship
Oulton Park International circuit staged the latest round of the Britcar Endurance Championship. David and I were really looking forward to it – one of the most challenging circuits in the UK. We were also hoping for a good haul of points as we went into the weekend leading the championship by 1 point!
The first qualifying was damp and the highlights were opposite lock in 5th gear round Island bend!! P2 on the class grid was good.
A big off at the start caused a red flag. At the restart, I grabbed the lead and hung on all the way to the pit stop despite a couple of pace car periods and all sorts of things going on down the field. Unfortunately, this all played against us but 4th at the end gave us a good points score. Second qualifying also went well this time in the dry.
P2 in class and P3 overall gave me a good start slot which turned into P2 overall off the start. Again there was a pace car period and then another red flag as one car had a huge off over the brow at Clay Hill but after a shortened race we came home P3. All in all a good weekend for us, excellent car as ever from FF Corse and we have extended our championship to 5 points! The next round is at the Snetterton 300.

“My son bought a gift voucher for the Calum Lockie ultimate passenger experience. Calum said he would be gentle but still hit 119 mph around Thruxton race circuit.”
